Position Description: |
The Youth Ministry Intern works with the English Pastor in discipling PCBC’s youth through a weekly gathering and Sunday School. |

Supervisor: |
English Pastor |

Compensation: |
Stipend of $400/month |
|
Hours of Work: |
3-8 hours per week depending on events schedule |
|
Duration |
8-12 months |
|
Reporting: |
Weekly, usually online to the English Pastor |
|
Strategic foci: |
Youth (aged 12-17), events planning, teaching, relationship building |

Required Knowledge, Character and Skills

Know:

• Ministry trends for Gen Z and relevant pop culture • Appropriate technology (MS Office, Google Suite) |

Be: |
• Mature in Christian character and witness • Prayerful and dependent on God • Empowered by the Holy Spirit • An active member of an Evangelical church • A good communicator with youth • Willing to work weekends • BEd or equivalent in Bible school (or comparable) |

Do: |
• Prepare biblical messages with hermeneutics • Event planning • Coordinate volunteers • Relationship Building |
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Create a youth ministry program; weekly gatherings for spiritual growth
- Co-Lead Sunday School for youth
- Prepare relevant and engaging teachings of biblical truth
- Plan youth events
- Training and recruiting volunteers for youth ministry
- Facilitate Youth Alpha course
